Privacy policy

Standard template for launch — flagged for real legal review once FirstEmber is handling client contracts/money at scale. This describes what actually happens, not boilerplate.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form: name, work email, company (optional), project type, project description, and budget/timeline range (optional). We don’t collect anything beyond what’s on that form.

How it’s stored

Submissions are sent to our backend and stored in a MongoDB database. We use a notification email only to tell ourselves a new enquiry arrived — the database, not the email, is the actual record.

Who can access it

Only the FirstEmber founder can access stored submissions. We don’t sell or share this data with third parties.

How long we keep it

While your enquiry is active or under discussion, we keep it. If nothing proceeds, it’s automatically deleted 12 months after our last contact with you.

Analytics

We use a privacy-first analytics tool (Plausible or Fathom) that doesn’t store your IP address and doesn’t require a cookie banner. We don’t run ad-tracking pixels or cross-site trackers.
